Tour Plan

Arrival in Paro, Transfer to Thimphu
The group flies into Paro, one of the world's most scenic airport approaches, and is transferred by road to Thimphu, Bhutan's capital (about an hour). The evening opens with a welcome dinner introducing the group to Bhutanese cuisine.

Conference Session & Thimphu Sightseeing
The morning conference session is held at a Thimphu hotel. In the afternoon, the group visits Tashichho Dzong, the seat of Bhutan's government and religious authority, followed by the giant Buddha Dordenma statue overlooking the valley.

Punakha Dzong Day Trip
A scenic drive over the Dochula Pass, with its 108 chortens and Himalayan views on a clear day, leads to Punakha Dzong — widely considered Bhutan's most beautiful fortress-monastery, set at the confluence of two rivers. The group returns to Thimphu for a group dinner.

Return to Paro, Tiger's Nest Preparation
The group transfers back to Paro, with the afternoon kept light ahead of the following day's hike. An evening briefing covers the Tiger's Nest trek for those participating.

Tiger's Nest Hike & Farewell Dinner
The signature activity of the trip: a half-day hike (moderate fitness required) to Paro Taktsang, the cliffside "Tiger's Nest" monastery perched 900 metres above the valley floor. Those preferring not to hike can view the monastery from a lower viewpoint. The evening closes with a farewell dinner and cultural performance.

Departure
After breakfast, the group transfers to Paro International Airport for departure.

Tour Faq

No formal visa is required for Indian nationals, which is one of Bhutan's key advantages as an international destination. However, an entry permit is mandatory, along with Bhutan's Sustainable Development Fee (SDF), which applies per person per night and goes towards the country's tourism, environment, and infrastructure funding. Our team handles the permit application and SDF payment as part of the package for the entire group
No, it's entirely optional. The hike to Paro Taktsang takes roughly 2-3 hours each way at a relaxed pace, with a rest stop at a midway cafeteria, and does require a reasonable level of fitness given the altitude and incline. For employees who'd prefer not to hike, or for whom it isn't medically advisable, there's a lower viewpoint accessible by a much shorter walk that still offers a clear view of the monastery.
The rest of the trip is comparatively gentle — sightseeing at Thimphu's dzongs and monasteries, the Punakha day trip, and general city exploration involve only light walking, well within reach of most fitness levels. The Tiger's Nest hike is genuinely the one physically demanding component of the trip.
Generally yes, largely due to the Sustainable Development Fee, which is Bhutan's deliberate policy choice to keep tourist numbers lower and more controlled compared to mass-tourism destinations. In exchange, the experience tends to feel less crowded and more genuinely exclusive — fewer tourists at major sites, cleaner infrastructure, and a stronger sense of cultural authenticity, which many companies feel justifies the premium for a leadership retreat.
March through May and September through November offer the clearest skies and most comfortable temperatures for sightseeing and the Tiger's Nest hike. Monsoon months (June-August) bring heavier rain and cloud cover that can obscure mountain views, and winter (December-February) is cold, particularly at altitude, though it does offer a quieter, less touristy experience for companies willing to bundle up.
