Tour Faq

It's a moderate trek involving a significant number of steps — sometimes several thousand, depending on which specific bridge is visited — down into a valley and back up, which can be genuinely tiring, particularly on the return climb. We'd recommend it for teams with a reasonable baseline fitness level, and for groups that include less mobile employees, an alternative lighter itinerary around Cherrapunji's waterfalls and viewpoints can be arranged instead.
October through April is the recommended window, avoiding the heaviest of the monsoon season. Cherrapunji is genuinely one of the wettest places on Earth, and from June through September the rainfall can be intense enough to affect road conditions and outdoor visibility, so a corporate trip with a fixed itinerary is much better planned outside this window.
It works best for mid-sized groups, roughly 20-50 people. Very large groups (100+) may need to be split across multiple hotels in Shillong, since the region's tourism infrastructure, while growing, isn't yet at the scale of more established hill stations like Shimla or Manali.
The North East remains genuinely underexplored by most Indian corporate travellers compared to the well-worn Himachal-Uttarakhand-Rajasthan circuit, giving the trip a sense of novelty that's harder to replicate elsewhere. The living root bridges, built and maintained by local Khasi communities over generations by training rubber tree roots across rivers, are a genuinely uniqu
Flights connect to Guwahati, which serves as the main gateway, followed by a road journey of about 3 hours to reach Shillong. All further travel within the region — to Cherrapunji, Umiam Lake, and back to Guwahati — is done by road, which we arrange through private coaches or vehicles sized appropriately for the group.
